Tutetawha whakapapa. She probably lived in the seventeenth century. The wharenui is also named Tutetawhā. She had one brother, Tū-hereua, an elder sister called Hine-aro, and a younger sister called Te Aki-pare. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Tutetawhā of Ngāti Tūwharetoa iwi.
